About the Property

One bedroom, one bath log cabin with stunning Mountain views- can sleep 4-6
A quaint and cozy log cabin with a large bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds and a large sitting area with a futon for extra sleeping if needed. Plus a separate livingroom with a TV with DirectTV satellite and a dvd player with a movie library, book library and family games with a game table. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also the small kitchen has a combination small refrigerator, two burner stove and sink and a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, medium size refrigerator and a small convection oven. The cabin has it's own full bathroom with a shower and toilet. It has great outside space with a deck on two sides that face the most marvelous view of the Bitterroot mountains to watch the sunset from. There is a outside grill and fire pit to farther enjoy the Montana wilderness feeling. 'Bear Cave' is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition prints by the co-owner/artist, Tracy Rose Moyers, that are available for purchase. Cabin is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley which is considered in the 'banana belt' which means that the area has milder weather compared to the rest of Montana. The Bitterroot is also considered one of the best fly-fishing areas of the country. This cabin is pet friendly but owners must approve the breed first (due to insurance rules). Cabin is non-smoking but we allow smoking on the outside deck and supply a can with sand for your cigarettes butts. This cabin is NOT handicapped accessible due to it's rustic nature and the different levels.

We LOVED this place & our Hosts Tracy & Dale!! Kind, caring,w great sense of humor. They wholeheartedly embraced our pets. We stayed in 2 different cabins over a 3 month period thru spring, while looking for long term housing. The Bear Cave was the best size for just 2 of us.Both cabins were clean, warm, cozy w great supplies & views(P.S. Windows do open!).Peaceful property..trees are heavenly.Great central location w short distance to 3 larger cities.Handy for biking, hiking, fishing, riding, etc. Our house-hunting was grueling & this quiet respite was wonderful to recoup in.Tracy & Dale are blessedly intuitive & do their thing & let U have your space too,unless..U want to chat,in which case..they are warm, welcoming & fun! Would recommend highly & go back in a heartbeat..

This was my first time renting a cabin. This cabin is very rustic. As I was hopping it would be. It was like taking a small step back to a simpler time. It was clean and neat. The view from the pourch was amazing. Pictures can not capture the true Beauty of the Valley you have to experience it. You will love it if you take it for what it is and understand what it is not. keep in mind there is no A/C only heat. I wish it was colder so I could have used the wood stove. I am very satisfied

The cabin was a perfect place to unwind after each day of exploring the Bitterroot Valley! The location is filled with amazing views and is so quiet and peaceful. It was my first vacation rental, and it was very much worth it. The Moyers are great people, who were very open about sharing their life story and experiences. I can't wait to be back!

We really enjoyed our time in this cabin, it reminds one of an Alaskan cabin. It is rustic but comfortable, well suited to 2-4 people. The Moyers are very accommodating and friendly people who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They were quick to take care of our concerns, which were few. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to my friends and family. Great job Tracy and Dale!!

Adorable little cabin. Minimal yet manageable. Comfy beds waiting for you after you've grilled some steaks under the Montana sky.

Rustic and very cute. TV set up hard to operate. Loved the print of the cabin.

Robert and I had a great stay at The Bear Cabin, it was a rustic and quaint home away. We loved the views from the cabin and the visits from our hosts pets - Diego the dog and Sky the beautiful cat. A great place to stay and view the surrounding areas. Caroline and Robert Trimnell Colchester, Essex, England

The Best Den was a great place to stay! Check-in process was easy and the house itself was clean and the decorations were a fun addition. I would recommend others to this location.
