This 2000 square foot, million dollar custom executive Penthouse Suite sleeps 8-10 and sits high atop the 7th floor of a ski-in/ski-out condominium on the slopes of Purgatory Mountain at Durango Mountain Resort. Panoramic views overlooking the Needles Mountains, ski slopes, and the heart of the Durango Mountain Ski Village await you when you arrive at this premier location on the mountain.
Less than 50 yards to the ski lift, the Penthouse includes a fully equipped granite kitchen with eating bar, separate formal dining room, living room with all leather furniture and fold out sleeper, large plasma TV, master bedroom with fireplace and bathroom with jetted tub, guest bedroom that sleeps 4 with and adjacent full bathroom, 3 fireplaces and a separate but adjoining large Studio Suite that sleeps up to 4 in a queen murphy bed and a queen sleeper sofa. The attached studio suite has a living room with fireplace, kitchenette with dining area, separate bath, and private deck with its own panoramic views. The Studio makes a fabulous Master Bedroom Suite, or utilize the 'sliding wall' in the studio to provide 2 separate queen sleeping areas. This studio suite has direct access to the Penthouse, as well as its own outside entrance, making this combination ideal for multiple families. The Penthouse and studio combined create a luxurious 2000 sq. ft. suite that sleeps 8-10 with plenty of room for the entire family to gather, or each can be rented separately to accommodate smaller groups.
Our Penthouse provides all of the amenities that you would expect to find in a custom suite of this size. This is a very private corner unit surrounded by decks for your enjoyment and outdoor entertainment, complete with large private hot tub, and separate deck access from the master bedroom for enjoying that morning cup of coffee or watching the sunset over the mountains. Two additional public hot tubs are available all year around.
During the summer months enjoy the on-site pool and hot tubs, and the family fun center including miniature golf and the super slide located at the opposite end of the building.
October is particularly beautiful with Aspens turning the 'Million Dollar Mile' and surrounding mountainsides into a canvas of brilliant gold. Guest of the complex also enjoy access to the residence pool, hot tubs, and exercise facilities located on site. Elevators from the covered parking garage to the penthouse keep you dry and eliminates climbing any stairs.
Historic Downtown Durango is a short 25 minute drive from the slopes, where you will find plenty of fine dining, shopping in quaint boutiques, fly fishing in the Animas River, white water rafting, miles of biking and hiking trails, hunting in the surrounding mountains, and golfing at Hillcrest Golf Course. While in Durango don't miss riding the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, the summer rodeo and motorcycle rally, or visiting the intriguing Anasazi Indian Ruins less than an hour away.

Stayed here with my daughter and grandchildren for a week. Extremely comfortable, with plenty of linens, towels. Kitchen was great and provided everything you need if you want to eat in rather than go out to dinner. We truly enjoyed the fact that you only had to take the elevator down and go straight to the lifts! Really great for those who don't want to go as early as others, do your own thing. Also, very nice to be so close to come in for lunch rather than fight the crowds. Owner and maintenance staff very responsive for the few minor issues we encountered. We are looking forward to booking again next year!

We vacation in Durango every winter and thought we'd try it during the summer. We stayed at this lovely condo with our family of 6 for a week in August. The condo is beautifully appointed and the big balcony, BBQ and spa was a huge plus. Watched lots of thunderstorms roll in. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was spacious and a truly wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend it! We had a blast in Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Mountain Biking, hiking, river rafting and zip lining. Durango Mountain Resort is the best place to stay to have access to everything fun in the area.

Eolus building is a fantastic location. This unit has 2 beds and 2 livings, 3 baths. The kids played video games in the 2nd living. I agree with other comments. This would have been awkward to have someone besides kids stay in the 2nd living. It's a queen murphy bed that would block the access to the bathroom when lowered. We had invited my inlaws and I am *so glad they couldn't come due to the lack of a true 3rd bedroom. Our queen bedroom was comfy. We loved the hot tub on the deck. Everything was well taken care of. We would stay here again.

Property was just as described. Awesome location, being corner suite on top floor with fantastic view! The private hot tub was the perfect retreat after each day of outdoor activities. This suite had plenty of room for our family of 5 adults, and came with 2 reserved parking spaces in the covered parking garage. We were very pleased with the location, half way between downtown Durango and Silverton. We rented this property to escape the summer heat of Phoenix, AZ, and we were not disappointed. We spent a day hiking at nearby Cascade Falls Trail, a day rafting the Animas river with Mild to Wild Adventures, a day at the resort riding the lift and mountain biking down the trails, and a day in Silverton renting a Polaris Razor from Rock Pirates and exploring the Alpine Loop. Although we experienced a few short rain storms throughout the week, we welcomed the weather and adapted. We would highly recommend this property and we hope to return again next summer!! Thank you to the Whitney's for sharing their lovely vacation home with us!!

My family stayed at the Penthouse suite this winter, and it was just perfect for us. 7 adults and 2 kids fit comfortably. The suite was very clean. We were provided clean towels in each room, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The views and location could not have been better!!! (I really can’t say that enough). And the hot tub was a huge hit with both the kids and adults.

Great condo in a great location with easy access to the slopes but quiet when it needed to be. We had two families staying in the condo and never felt cramped. Personal hot tub was fantastic after a day of skiing. Owner was very accommodating and responsive with questions we had. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away to Purgatory.
