About the Property
| A beautiful Ocean Front 10 room Victorian with a Full Wrap around porch overlooking the Ocean. A new Kitchen was installed in 2007. Each Bedroom has one bed in it. 4 rooms have Queen Beds, and 2 rooms have Double Beds, and a crib setup is available if needed. Three of the Bedrooms overlook the Ocean. The House is located only 2 miles away from the center of town with many fine restaurants. It is 10 Minutes to New Haven and only 5 minutes to Stony creek where you can cruise the Thimble Islands and have Breakfast or Lunch. Within 40 minutes of travel time, you can visit the Mohegan Sun Casino, and shorter travel time to the Clinton Premium Outlets which include Ralph Lauren, Coach, Saks Fifth Avenue, and many more! 10 minutes to Yale university which is often rented for most functions at the university by parents and alumni. |

My family and I just finished a wonderful week at this home. The home has more than ample space, so no one ever felt that they were on top of each other, which helped to make this home a very comfortable place to relax. Also, unlike many homes we have rented in the past, the home was stocked very well with all the basic essentials. Most important, the view from the rear garden is absolutely amazing with the Thimble Islands in view. Also, the location was excellent for us. The home is situated close enough to make a coastal drive to Mystic exploring old towns, antiquing, etc. and the home is very close to NYC (we made it in less than an 1 1/2 hours no traffic), making it an easy escape. Also, Branford has many walking trails to explore in around the neighborhood. The only caveat is make sure to bring water shoes. The surface below the water at the beach is made up of rocks. We look forward to returning to this little piece of heaven that evokes tranquility and peace.

Lovely home with a large kitchen. Six bedrooms but only 2 bathrooms. Everyone in our group was considerate and it was not a problem. Truly enjoyed sitting on the porch during the day and after dark. Very relaxing. Parking for 4 to 5 cars behind the house which is important in Branford.

Lovely beachy home, perfect for sitting and admiring the view. We rented kayaks from Indian River Marina and Kayak—not too expensive for multiday rental, and let’s you explore the area. We highly recommend this rental!

We had a large group and never felt crowded! The bedrooms are comfortable and the living area/kitchen are huge! There are also 2 dishwashers which was an unexpected plus with our big group. We brought some large "island" floats and anchored them to the shore and spent a whole day out enjoying the beautiful waters. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing. We spent most of the time siting outside just taking in the view. When the tide comes in there isn't much of a beach directly in front of the house but between the kayaks we brought and the floats we didn't care! I was initially worried about parking but there is a small lot that fit 3 of our large vehicles and the remaining people were able to find close street parking. All of the neighbors were kind and accommodating. There was a fresh propane tank that lasted all weekend and even some poles for a hammock, which thankfully, we also brought with us :) We loved this home and will keep an eye out for it next year! Thank you for being a wonderful host and answering all of our questions quickly!

For my son's graduation I had four generations attending and this was the perfect house for the whole family. Great yard to sit and view the water or for a 3 year old to run around. The pictures don't do the actual house justice. The main level has a large kitchen and several seating areas that made socializing or watching tv easy for everyone. The house is about a 15-20 minute drive to the Yale campus which was very managable. It was an easy location to Uber from as well. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely want to stay at this house again. Francis is very responsive and friendly and a joy to work with. Great time was had by all.

My family and I absolutely love this place! We cannot say enough good things about the house and the owner. The home is warm, spacious, and welcoming. Everything you need is right there. There is plenty to do in the area, but we were just as content to stay put and take in the beautiful ocean views. It is so peaceful and relaxing, we didn't want to ever leave. Francis is the best! He was always available by phone or email and quick to respond. Francis is down to earth and easy to work with. His friendly demeanor is as charming as the house and enhanced our stay. Thank you Francis for such an enjoyable vacation!
