Walk across the street from “Shore Kure” to the ocean and hang out on the beach close to the lifeguard stand. Beautifully built and furnished beach house with ocean views from almost every room. Large front porch with Adirondack chairs and high top tables for outdoor dining. Sleeps 13. NON SMOKING Plenty of Parking House is well suited for beach living with an enclosed outdoor shower. Bike rentals close by and location in the center of Kure Beach offers excellent biking destinations such as the city park, Fort Fisher and the NC aquarium. Good shopping and restaurants are nearby and Historic Downtown Wilmington is 20 minutes away. We offer free use of beach chairs, kids beach toys, wave boards and best of all, a large beach cart you can use to haul everything you need to the beach or to the pier. No more having to carry all your “stuff” to the beach or pier!! Only 4 short blocks to the heart of Kure Beach which includes the Kure Beach Fishing Pier & four shop, 4 excellent restaurants, a small beach store, an arcade for the kids and ice cream shop. What more could you want? This lovely beach cottage (2600 square feet) has 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths two family rooms and a large fully equipped kitchen with double oven, dishwasher, microwave and a table that seats 12. Enjoy the large family room that has enough room for everyone to relax after enjoying the surf and sun. Master bedroom has its own full bath with rain shower. Laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. 5 TV's with cable, 1 TV with DVD and VCR. Relax on the large deck and rock your cares away as you enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Bed and bath linens are available for an additional fee of $140. Kure Beach is a wonderful place to spend your family vacation. Some of the best catches along the Carolina Coast have been made at the Kure Beach Fishing Pier. After a morning on the beach, visit the North Carolina State Aquarium, the Carolina Beach State Park, or the Historic Fort Fisher Museum. All are only a few miles away. Go 4-Wheeling on the north or south-end beaches of the Island, charter a fishing boat or take a dinner cruise from the Carolina Beach Boat Basin. Just off the Island are golf courses, water parks, and plenty of spas to enjoy. The charming riverfront city of Wilmington is only 20 minutes away and offers wonderful shops, restaurants, a Farmer’s Market on Saturday, and cultural activities. Another great day trip is a ferry ride to Southport, a fun fishing village with fabulous shops and restaurants. The ferry is only a few miles away. If you have ever wanted to learn how to surf fish, Kure Beach offers Surf Fishing classes during the summer months. Call the town for details prior to your stay. Thirteen family members, 8 adults and 5 kids spent five nights in this wonderful beach house. Beverly and Joe were remarkable to deal with. They were happy to answer any questions, and we had and we had quite a few. The house was well equipped to handle all our needs. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans. There is plenty of seating in the kitchen area, including a high chair. We didn’t spend much time inside with the large balcony with plenty of space for all of us. The design of the house makes for the possibility to spread out if need be. The beach cart, chairs and beach toys really were appreciated and well used! They also have bikes to use if you want. Kure Beach is a wonderful area. We highly recommend the area. Beverly and Joe have a fantastic house and have really put thought into your potential stay. Thanks Beverly and Joe for hosting our much needed, and first ever vacation with the Grandkids!

My family and my wife’s brothers family had the pleasure of staying at the house at Kure Beach! The owners were readily available and had all the answers. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. All the things we needed were there for us to use for recreation. The Beach was very close and always a nice breeze on the large front porch. This was my family's first vacation rental of a house on Pleasure Island, having stayed in hotels the last 12 years or so. We found out about this property from friends of ours who have rented it for their extended family vacations for several years. Their recommendation was all we needed to know that it would serve our family well, too. The house is located right across the street from a public access walkway to the beach. Its corner location makes it easily accessible, and the vacant lot next to the house can be used for parking (in addition to the covered parking area entered by the driveway). The interior of the home is spacious and plentiful, and the furnishings are immaculate. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the living room provided ample space for the small children in our group to play while the adults watched TV and talked. The garage not only provided plenty of room to store our beach stuff, it was also equipped with lots of beach and recreational equipment available for our use (chairs, sand toys, bicycles, etc.). Additionally, there was a gas grill we could use. (And we did!) As for the owners, they were amazing to deal with at all stages of our rental. They were easy to contact and responded immediately to our questions. They also checked with us after our arrival to make sure that we were satisfied with the house and that everything was okay. They also returned our damage deposit fee quickly and with no hassle. We would definitely recommend this house for those desiring a pleasant stay in Kure Beach and hope to return there ourselves for a future stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Joe and Beverly's house over the Memorial Day weekend! We have been doing a friends trip for the past 5 years this is our favorite property to date. The size of the house, the number of KING beds, the kid friendly items, wonderfully stocked kitchen and the location were all perfect for our group (7 adults, one child). And the beach cart was beyond helpful! Beverly was very communicative before the trip and on top of everything leading up to the weekend. Excellent super clean and well equipped vacation home with 5 bedrooms perfect for our family of 2 grandparents, 2 sets of daughter/son-in-laws with children. Great open plan kitchen, dining and family room. It had everything we needed. Child friendly sandy beach right across the street Easy access to playground/tennis courts and NC Aquarium. Worth every penny.

This place is great! We have rented probably 50 beach homes over the years. These owners get it! 3 families of 4 stayed here and it's roomy enough that you don't feel cramped at all. Second living room and deck provide 3 separate living spaces. Beds were comfy. Place is clean. Kitchen has everything you could ever need. Short capacity washer and dryer. Garage is stocked with bikes, boogie boards, beach cart, beach chairs, cooler, sand toys. Plenty of parking for 5 vehicles and a uhaul trailer. We could have put another car in the garage if needed. They even provided beach towels! Owner was extremely polite and prompt responding to emails throughout the entire rental process. Would definitely rent it again if we go back to Kure Beach!
