About the Property

Come to the water... a delightful getaway at Gladwin Beach. Just the place to make memories with family and friends; laugh and love; connect with and enjoy each other.

Gladwin Beach House is located on the North Shore of Hood Canal; the sunny side of the Canal. You may see flocks of ducks and water birds, a heron fishing for dinner, or still blue waters under blue skies.

Come experience this charming log cabin. Gladwin House was built over 100 years ago as part of a logging camp on the shore of Hood Canal. The house has been expanded and upgraded, but it still has that cozy log house feel. The living room is very relaxing, with a river rock fireplace and a beautiful view of Hood Canal. With four cheerful bedrooms, a daybed by the fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen, you will feel right at home.

Gladwin Beach House is at the end of the Hood Canal. In the summer, the waters are warm enough to swim and play in when the tide comes in over the tide flats. The warm water is a rarity in Puget Sound. Put the kayak in the water and explore the Theler Wetlands and Union River Estuary. Take a nature hike, or mountain bike nearby trails. Relish and enjoy the quiet and peaceful picturesque water views here. At night, sit by the fire pit; sing songs, tell jokes and roast marshmallows.

In the winter, relax in the hot tub and watch the water birds flock. Maybe drink hot chocolate, enjoy a good book by the cozy river rock fireplace, watch your favorite movie or play board games.

We invite you to come and enjoy the serenity at Gladwin Beach House!

Reviews

From the comfortable beds, fantastic views, fun shell fishing steps away from the beach house, and ample kitchen—we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The hot tub was clean, the grounds kept up beautifully, and we were left wood for the fire place and pits. The hosts were gracious and answered all of our questions quickly. By far, Gladwin Beach House is one of our top vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Awesome, clean, kid friendly, fun house. Hosts were great and responsive. The hot tub on the deck is an added bonus as well as the park next door. Would definitely come back!

It was such a treat to spend a few days at the Gladwin Beach House! It has all the charm and character you would want from a historic cabin, along with all the comforts and amenities that make for a comfortable stay in a rental house. We were there with our 20-month-old son, and it was quite child-friendly. There are lots of toys and games, a fantastic park and playground right next door, and so many things to do in the yard and private beach. We were also incredibly touched by owners' flexibility and generosity when we had to miss the first night of our stay due to a medical emergency. They very generously let us stay an extra night for free!

Located in a great neighborhood where you can walk. Near to a State Park as well and close to the town of Belfair for shopping. The house is so cozy and comfortable with everything you could require for your stay. The birds are amazing...eagles, osprey, king fishers, and sea gulls. We recommend this home with the highest regard.

This is our second time here! The views are incredible! It’s great having the hot tub and kayaks and the kids love the park next door! They’ve done upgrades in the house so the new carpet, AC in the upstairs bedrooms, and new TV were all wonderful! The hosts are great communicators and very welcoming. I’m sure we’ll be back again!

Nice place to kick back with the family. It’s 100 years old, and it has a cool vibe! Enjoy!

This was an awesome cabin. Kayaking on the sound walking the beaches the quiet neighborhood and the short distance to civilization made this property an exciting experience for me and my family. The hosts were very responsive awesome most definitely a great family retreat.

The house was cute and well maintained and in a fun location. Lance and Ali were super responsive. It's really fun to kayak around at high tide and cool to see the birds poking around when the entire canal empties at low tide. If it's summer time make sure the AC is working properly since it can get really hot upstairs.

We had a really enjoyable time at the Gladwin Beach House! The view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, close proximity to town, and enjoyed both the fire places and hot tub to the fullest. Would definitely recommend!

It was so peaceful, just the getaway we wanted. The property was beautiful with amazing fruiting and flowering plants. After a long day of kayaking and clamming we enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub followed by a a wonderful dinner off the bbq. My favorite part of the house was the kitchen. I felt like I was in a different time. The antique touches were so well done. We will visit again.
